The planet Jusaw is divided into seven regions, each associated with the first space agency or organization to claim, colonize, and control it. Among these space organizations are NASA, UNOOSA, CNSA, JAEA, ASC-CSA, SSTL, and BO-SX. Although the settlement and power-balance of Jusaw have changed over the 150 years since the first colonists arrived, meaning these regions no longer correlate exactly with the holdings of the organizations associated with them, they do define the several unique landscapes, economies, and cultures of Jusaw.
The first region of Jusaw to be colonized, Onjoa is a group of islands located west of Maxilla. Settled by the private space company Singapore Space & Technology, these Onjoan Islands are cut off from the rest of the planet by the Great Trench - a periloud region of ocean deeper than SONAR can penetrate.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's coveted land-holding, the Lowlands derive their name from their gentle slopes. This nonperilous terrain is complemented by the region's warm temperatures and fertile soil.
After suffering several mission setbacks, NASA lost its chance at the Lowlands and opted for the Golo Basin instead. The large Golo River supplies similarly fertile soil, but the weather is far more erratic and severe.
The first settlements in the rain shadow of the Rosna Range were established by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs as small, scientific outposts - not bustling communities. As they grew, coastal colonies were established to supply them.
The most diverse region in geography and natural resources, Xia was chosen by the Chinese National Space Agency as a self-sufficient stronghold - independent from the rest of Jusaw.
The coldest region of Jusaw, Hookland was chosen by BO-SX as a prime location for server farms, and operates at the forefront of technology and communications on Jusaw.
The Agence Spatienne Canadienne, or Canadian Space Agency, was a late-comer to Jusaw, and the Carter Islands they settled seemed to offer very little to any prospective settlers. However, discovered around the Carter Islands was a submerged continent with ancient, artificial development.
